Kaze no Klonoa: Moonlight Museum (風のクロノア ムーンライトミュージアム) is a monochrome game for the original WonderSwan handheld console.
Summary[]
You play as Klonoa the dream traveler. He travels to the dream worlds in need, In this adventure Klonoa and his best friend Huepow find that moon has been shattered and its fragments have ended up inside a museum taken by five selfish artist that use the dreams of people that are inside the moon fragments to make art. After finding out whats going on from a crying girl Klonoa and Huepow decide to enter the Museum to confront the artist.
- Spoilers: After Klonoa and Huepow confront the five artist they find out the Museum itself is alive and have to solve its puzzles to restore the moon at last.
Gameplay[]
Klonoa Moonlight Museum is the first handheld entry in the Klonoa series. Being on the wonderswan, the game is the first 2D Klonoa, classifying it as more of an action-puzzle game. The objective of the game is to collect three large stars to open the exit door, Klonoa has the "Wind Bullet" at his disposal, this allows him to pick up enemies to extend his jump or throw them to solve puzzles. Some examples of puzzles are throwing blocks, using or blocking air currents, throwing enemies and using boxes to open doors along with other things. Klonoa also has the ability to hover a extremely short distance. Moonlight Museum has six worlds with the six one being unlocked after all 30 gems are collected in each level. Each world has five levels adding up to 180 gems in each world. This game also takes advantage of the wonderswan being able to flip perspectives, After the game is beat you can do this any level at any time. Lastly there are no boss fights at all however.

Impact[]
Klonoa Moonlight Museum ended up being the start of the spin off series of Klonoa games the remaining two are Klonoa: Empire of Dreams and Klonoa 2: Dream Champ Tournament both for the Gameboy advance. These games expand upon the gameplay of this starting title and add boss fights.
Trivia[]
Even though this game never made it outside of Japan there is a easter egg in Klonoa 2 Lunatea's Veil for the PS2. In that game there are Momett Dolls to collect and the pink doll is a girl is found in the museum of memories that looks almost identical to the girl who informs Klonoa and Huepow of the moon being shattered. The level itself also plays the main theme from Klonoa moonlight museum remixed along with similar mechanics to world five selfish Museum with doors that are a important part of how the level is solved.
